Sakurajima Volcano Research Center became the new center “Research Center for Volcano Hazards Mitigation” on July 1, 2024.
The Research Center for Volcano Hazards Mitigation conducts basic research on volcanic activity and volcanic disasters based at the Sakurajima Volcano Observatory, Uji Campus, and Hodaka Sedimentation Observatory.
